My name is Kristina and I am the owner of this small candle business called Southern Soy. I have been employed full-time time with a local Medical Technology company for over 10 years. I've been married 11 years and have two children.  I have always had a passion for business and sales but I've always been a little reserved and nothing ever fell into place until I found my love for candle-making. 

    I stumbled upon candle-making while trying to find crafts to entertain my kids over last summer. I ordered supplies, got straight to it and while realizing it wasn't really a kid-friendly craft i found something that was more than a hobby, it was something I felt so deeply connected to. I make all of the artwork, logos and labels we use on social media, our website and on the products we make.  I just wanted to share this product I put so much of myself into.  

    I love that I am able to evoke so many different feelings just by having someone smell the candles and melts I offer. A certain scent can easily transport you into a different time bringing back long-forgotten memories, remind you of a vacation where you felt happy and free, make you feel an overwhelming sense of calming and peace , or just give you that unexplainable feeling of nostalgia. 

    This little business has become my baby, I love everything about it and I want nothing more than to see it grow and have everyone else love it as much as i do.
